Q: When you step out of your usual genre what do you read? Best books in that genre?
I think it's safe to say my usual genre is YA though that may be changing. Most recently other than YA I've read clean adult romance(and I love this too). Best in that genre is Maddy's Oasis, or probably anything by Lizzy Ford.
Good picks! Haven't read those but I'll certainly take a look at them!

I love YA, but it has to be dystopian/paranormal/urban fantasy. :) New follower! http://inkspotsandroses.blogspot.com/2012/10/friday-feature-follow-1.html
ReplyDeleteI've recently started reading more YA and am very surprised by it!

Hopping through. I've only read a little bit of adult romance. I think I'd prefer the clean stuff.

I read anything but chick lit. Favorites are romance and thrillers. =)
ReplyDeleteI came by from Jessie's blog. You mentioned you'd be interested in participating in my blog tour for my new release. I couldn't find your email. I don't doubt it probably slapped me in the face somewhere. =) If you are still interested email me at elizabeth(dot)arroyo5(at)gmail(dot)com. Thanks!!!
My usual genre is also young adult!

Alise - My FF Post
Since YA isn't a genre (it's an age group), I can technically say I read all kinds of genres: YA contemporary, YA paranormals, YA horror, YA thrillers. :D I've read a few adult books, but YA is still my first love (yep, I still refer to as a genre even if I've been numerous times that it isn't one--including by agents). I recently fell in love with New Adult stories, and that's now what I'm reading and working on (as well as my YA stories).
ReplyDeleteI read a lot of YA, too. Though I tend to go through a lot of Adult titles, in addition.
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge YA reader as well! New GFC Follower!

If I step out of my genre I end up with a thriller like Lee Child - am flirting with the idea of starting a Stieg Larsson... Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI don't really have a usual genre, although I do enjoy a nicely written romance every now and then. :-)
