If you are a fan of Science Fiction what is your favorite book? If you haven't read Science Fiction before...any inkling to? Anything catch your eye?
I'm not really a sci-fan, but I've read Crashed (a YA distopian sci-fi) and The Host by Stephenie Meyer. Out of the two I preferred the host, but seriously it was no twilight and I feed off angsty love gone awry.
Hi. In January, I read Beth Revis's Across the Universe. It was really, really good. It was a mix of sci fi, dystopian, and romance. It's YA.
ReplyDeleteI don't read much science fiction either but I really enjoyed The Host too.
ReplyDeleteI normally only read contemporary or historical fiction, but I loved THE HUNGER GAMES.
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to say hi. Thanks for following. I'm your newest follower. =]

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I like my sci fi in short burst, meaning short stories. :)
Hopping through. I enjoyed The Host too...but it's definitely no Twilight :-)

I love YA sc-fi! One my favorite genres. I agree with the post above...give Across the Universe a try.

People keep talking about The Host, so that's my cue to put it on my TBR list. I'll look up Crashed, too, and read that. I love dystopian books, so I'm sure I'll like that.
ReplyDeleteI'll also try the Hunger Games, like you said. I read a little bit of the first, but totally forgot about it :P
Following you back :)

ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I don't usually read sci fi or dystopian, but I started reading the Uglies this month and I'm loving them. I'll have to read the Hunger Games next...
ReplyDelete"I feed off of angsty love gone awry." So true, and hilarious! New follower! Hope you had a great weekend.

Hey Beth. Good luck getting to 100, you'll do it!
ReplyDeleteI love sci fi, but I'm discovering I read all the old guys and need to find some contemporary authors. I love Orson Scott Card (try Enchantment, it's more fantasy in a modern world setting), Assimov, Bova, etc. The Host is my favorite by Meyer. Um, Across the Universe was excellent, and Scott Westerfeld's Uglies series.
YA sci fi is wonderful these days. It's light, but still has all the problem solving I like in sci fi.
You have a fantastic looking website--hopefully mine will be like it one day.
