Street Teams

I need help from my author friends! It was recommended to me that I have my street team help promote my new book, A Missing Peace. But I don't actually have one! I do think I have some loyal readers from the Marlowe Girls, but that's sweet romance and A Missing Peace is romantic suspense. I'm not sure it will appeal to the same people. Do any of you have a street team? What does a street team do? (My books are all ebook only.

I'd love to hear from you.

  1. I had someone offer to start one for me but they didn't live in the same country so I wasn't even sure how to do that. I'd love to know more about this, too.

  2. Wish I could help, but I'm not even sure what a street team is. Just when I learn all the answers, they change all the questions. Good luck finding someone.

  3. Hey Beth! I think a street team is a great idea, and I can probably help you start one if you need to. I was a member of someone's street team, for us there was a mini application process and we basically talked about our blogs, blog audience, why we were qualified, how we used social media etc... It's similar but a little different from a blog your in that you want people who already love your book, will be writing amazing reviews, will blog/tweet/Facebook post before, the day of and after the book's release. It really is a dedicated team, comprised of a diverse group of members (meaning they ability to reach a wide group of people and/or hone into reaching your audience).
