J = Julie Musil & Jen Daiker

In keeping with the theme of Promote 52, I'm doing A-Z promotions. This is a tribute to book bloggers, so mostly I'll be promoting bloggers. But I'll take the occasional diversion to promote an author I love, or give a shout-out to someone. Of course, A-Z is hosted by Arlee Bird at Tossing It Out.

Julie Musil blogs books to teach writing. One of the great features of her blog is "Lessons Learned From Book." It features the cover and author then Julie talks about what she learned as a writer from reading the book, and how those lessons can be applied to other writing. It's helpful and never requires a neg review! Gotta love that. She also routinely features writers on her blog.

Jen Daiker blogs at Unedited. Jen's electric. She blogs whatever she wants, but she's supportive of writers. She's usually willing to participate in your blog tour/cover reveal/or post a guest post. She also reviews MG, YA, Chick-lit(her fave) and the occasional picture book.

Also if anyone is interested, I'm looking for help with a blitz for Monday April 15. You can find out more here.

  1. So a book blogger for us old school folks is someone doing a book report, lol. Nice that you're featuring folks. I was a bad one in school, read the first, middle and last chapter when I had to do a report. I really didn't enjoy books...had a fear almost of the library. Sadly, many of us in school did. Oh that librarian. Only I didn't know until just recently I wasn't the only one that felt that way. A group page of my high school class had a discussion, and even the kids that spent time in library talk about what a witch she was. Seems she affected far too many of us in a negative manner.

    Keep up the good work.

    1. Sandy, a mean librarian--that's too bad! I didn't like reading as a young person either but that was because our library didn't have much to offer.
